National Video Vacation
Incredible turntable colossus and all round audio-visual
genius DJ Yoda is busting out of the studio and heading back onto
the road this October with his latest breathtaking spectacular, DJ
Yoda’s National Video Vacation.
Twisting the visual and manipulating the musical into a 90-minute
non-stop blast of astounding good time spontaneity, DJ Yoda, AKA
Duncan Beiny, follows up last year’s acclaimed Magic Cinema
Show with a 100% brand new selection of magnificent manoeuvres that
will see him shaking you to the core with unbelievable optical
chicanery and deck wizardry. Armed to the teeth with his trusty
Pioneer SVM1000, some choice cutting edge beats and the rarest
footage harvested from the deepest depths of YouTube all augmented
with his own extensive archives, Yoda has taken his unique
abilities to the next level, slipping underground grooves next to
Sesame Street rave and mixing up Alan Sugar with electro, hip-hop
and dubstep beats and always rocking the floor.
With his How to Cut & Paste Country & Western Edition
leading a Country revival, DJ Yoda has already got the
series’ next groundbreaking instalment in the bag and is
working on his latest artist album that will feature some high
profile collaborations. Until they see the light of day, be sure to
catch DJ Yoda’s National Video Vacation.
The saga continues
It's been a
long time since the last "How To Cut & Paste" mix - in fact
"The 80's Edition" was released back in 2003. In the last six
years, DJ Yoda has been busy with AV shows, classical concertos,
Fabric Live mix CDs and swapping record labels - but now, finally,
he's returned to the mix series that most people know him for. Now
"How To Cut & Paste: The Country & Western Edition" is
dropping - and there's a 1930's mix to look forward to later in the
summer! Keep your eyes peeled...
Country & Western Edition
Devilish deck doyen DJ Yoda returns to the fray with the latest
in his acclaimed Cut & Paste adventures. Following on
from the 80s edition, which saw him giving that most colourful of
decades a boot into the future, the latest instalment of this
legendary series covers the gamut of countrified cuts.
Distilling the most potent musical moonshine, Yoda blows the barn
doors off with his deft trickery taking you on a wild hayride into
the heart of both types of music; Country AND Western and their
stylistic dalliances with Hip-Hop. From John Denver’s
supercharged ‘Thank God I’m A Country Boy’
slipping into Dolly Parton’s ‘9 to 5’ DJ Yoda
mixes up beats, banjos and Johnny Cash in what is his most
startling mix yet.
The mix is available to buy now - check out the store.
Keep
an eye on the Tour Dates section of the new website as Yoda's
summer performances get confirmed, but in the meantime we can
reveal that there will be a number of very special exclusive
performances happening over the next few months. At the moment, if
you're planning on going to Glastonbury, Bestival, Rockness or Camp
Bestival then you're in luck!
Sparkle
Motion are UK club AV pioneer DJ Yoda and 80s R&B connoisseur/
spinemagazine.com music editor TOBES.
For their first mix, "Flight School Vol. 1", they got together and
plucked out a selection of their favourite 80s R&B breaks - no
vocals, just an hour of raw 80s beats for the jacuzzi, the private
jet, or the boom boom room.
Over 10,000 downloads later they return with "New Jack City Vol. 1"
- taking things forward a few years to the days of hi-top fades,
parachute pants and doing "the running man".
Think Bobby Brown cruising for chicks in a 1989 Testarossa, and
Mike Tyson riding shotgun with a white baby tiger on his lap.
Both mixes are widely available over the net, if you put your
Google hat on.
To celebrate the fact that DJ Yoda has a brand spanking new
website we have got a limited number of Audio Visual DVD's to give
away.
All you need to do is cover the p&p and we'll be happy to grace

The 30's Edition
Responsible
for spreading his name across the globe, DJ Yoda’s ‘How
To Cut & Paste’ mixes have become the stuff of
legend. Injecting a necessary dose of humour into the
UK’s Hip-Hop scene without ever taking his eye off the
dancefloor, DJ Yoda AKA Duncan Beiny’s unique ability to mix
and scratch theme tunes, adverts and comedy skits with some of the
rawest beats around, gaining both commercial and critical success,
is without equal.
Following hot on the heels of his barnstorming ‘Country &
Western Edition’, the fifth instalment in the series delves
deep into the past, to the advent of Swing for ‘The Thirties
Edition’. The decade that gave the world the first LP,
the first ‘All-Talking All-Colour’ wide-screen movie
and the Zoot suit, the 1930s was a hotbed of musical creativity
that DJ Yoda has mined with his trademark ear for a funky beat
turning up some surprising musical treats.
AVALIABLE IN ALL GOOD RECORD STORES AND ONLINE FROM 25TH
AUGUST...
